Terms & Conditions

To ensure every booking runs smoothly and safely, please review our Terms & Conditions in full before confirming any services. These guidelines explain our responsibilities, your responsibilities as a pet owner, and the procedures we follow to provide consistent and reliable care.

1. Service Agreement
By booking dog walks or drop-in visits with The Happy Tails Club, the client agrees to provide keys or arrange for keys to be available for access to their home. If keys are not provided or The Happy Tails Club is unable to access the home, the full service fee will apply.

2. Weather Policy
The safety of pets is our top priority. The Happy Tails Club reserves the right to cancel or reschedule walks if the weather is too hot or otherwise unsafe for the dog. Clients will not be charged in these circumstances.

3. Emergency Veterinary Care
Clients authorise The Happy Tails Club to obtain emergency veterinary care if necessary. Every effort will be made to contact the owner prior to treatment. Clients are responsible for all veterinary costs, including when an alternative veterinarian is required.

4. Payment Terms

All bookings must be paid in full at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed.
Where an invoice has been issued, payment must be made in full by the due date stated on the invoice and before the service takes place.

The Happy Tails Club reserves the right to cancel or withhold services if payment has not been received by the invoice due date.

5. Changes or Cancellations to Walking and Drop-in Services

Any changes or cancellations to a confirmed dog walk or drop-in booking must be requested with at least 48 hours’ notice.

Cancellations or changes made between 24 and 48 hours’ notice will be charged at 50% of the original booked service fee.

Cancellations or changes made with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged at 100% of the original booked service fee, regardless of whether the session is shortened or changed.

6. Changes or Cancellations to Dog Sitting Services

Any changes or cancellations to a confirmed dog sitting booking must be requested with at least 1 week notice.

Cancellations or changes made between 3-6 days' notice will be charged at 50% of the original booked service fee.

Cancellations or changes made with less than 3 days' notice will be charged at 100% of the original booked service fee, regardless of whether the session is shortened or changed.

7. Liability, Insurance & Risk Acknowledgement

Clients acknowledge and agree that The Happy Tails Club will take reasonable care to ensure the safety and well-being of their pets. However, clients acknowledge that unforeseen events, such as accidents or illness, may still occur. The Happy Tails Club is not liable for any accidental injury, illness, or loss involving clients pets or property where reasonable care has been taken. This does not apply in cases where The Happy Tails Club is negligent or fails to act with reasonable care.

Clients confirm that their pets are up to date with vaccinations, and that accurate and complete information regarding their pets' health and behaviour has been provided.

8. Notifications & Concerns
Clients agree to notify The Happy Tails Club of any concerns or complaints within 24 hours of a visit.

9. Pet Behaviour Disclosure
Clients must disclose any aggression, behavioural issues, or characteristics that may make their dog unsuitable for walks. The Happy Tails Club reserves the right to refuse care for pets that compromise the safety of the dog walker, other pets, or the public.​

10. Use of Content

All photos and videos taken by The Happy Tails Club of pets in our care remain the property of The Happy Tails Club and may be used for promotional, marketing, and social media purposes. By using our services, clients consent to the use of such content in accordance with this policy.
